Kangia Coastline Hike

Our guide wil on this beautiful hike take you out in the world famous UNESCO site area along Kangia Icefjord.

The hike starts with a rise through the revine Qoororsuaq from which's top we'll have fantastic view of the town with Disko Bay and Arveprinsens Ejland in the horizon. 
From here we are hiking on the fields along the coastline. the guide will talk widely about the different plants and flowers we pass on the way and me might be lucky and see a mountain hare or polar fox. The omnipresent ice has in thousands of years played an important role for the different cultures that have settled in the area.

When reaching Seqinniarfik it's time for a well deserved lunch break. From here we have amazing view of the Icefjord where the biggest icebergs are grounded. On January the 13th. Ilulissat's citizens go here to welcome back the sun. The silence, slear fresh air and the rumble of the icebergs complete the experience.

Feel the breath of history as we reach the view point Nakkaavik (Crone's Cliff) and the old settlement Sermermiut before we will wollow the path back to the old heliport from where we are picked up by our driver.

Remember reasonable clothing and a good pair of hiking boots with ankle support.  
The tour is around 8 kilometers of hiking in mountain terrain.
