Lodge Staff, Eqi 2026 

Become a Lodge Staff in our beautiful Glacier Lodge Eqi, and spend your daily life with the Eqi glacier star as your closest neighbor.

 World of Greenland is looking for Lodge Staff from the beginning of June to mid-September 2026.


A summer in Eqi is something very special. Here is nothing other than our wilderness lodge Glacier Lodge Eqi – a restaurant, 23 cabins and 6 glamping tents, 80 km north of Ilulissat with the Eqi Glacier and the enormous ice sheet as its closest neighbor.


The tasks here include guiding 3 hikes of varying difficulty, cleaning cabins and common areas, handling goods to be transported to and from the lodge, minor maintenance-related projects and other work that may occur.



As a Lodge Staff at Glacier Lodge Eqi, you will host the guests who come here and stay overnight, and therefore play a very central role in the guests' experience. You will work in a team of 12-14 employees, including a chef, waiters and a Lodge Manager.

At Eqi, everyone in the lodge works as a team and lifts together. Here we help each other when needed.


For many visitors, Glacier Lodge Eqi is the highlight of their trip to Greenland, and this obliges us to deliver the best product every time. The level of service at Glacier Lodge Eqi is high, but with an unpretentious atmosphere, where we are always at eye level with the guests.

Your qualifications

  • You are from Greenland or have a special connection or interest in Greenland.
  • You may have taken a guide training from Campus Kujalleq.
  • You are open and positive towards new challenges.
  • You want to convey knowledge and experiences in an engaging way.
  • You speak English and Danish well, and preferably Greenlandic.
  • You are responsible and proactive, and you are not afraid to take action.
  • You have a good mood, understand the importance of collaboration, and you want to help create a good community with colleagues.
  • You may have relevant work experience, preferably from the service or travel industry.
  • You have a first aid course/opportunity to take this before starting work.
  • You have a driver's license and experience in driving.
  • You are ready to share a room with a colleague.
