Greenland in a special class
Ilimanaq Lodge is beautifully located in the village of Ilimanaq. Ilimanaq is close to Ilulissat, but is still a completely different world. About 50 people live here, and everyday life is quite different from many other places. With a stay at Ilimanaq Lodge you get a unique insight into life in a Greenlandic village 300 km north of the Arctic Circle.
In your bungalow on the edge of the mountain, nature comes very close. Enjoy your morning coffee from your private terrace while small fishing boats slowly chug by in the crystal clear water. You may also be lucky enough to witness a family of whales swimming gracefully past your window.
At Ilimanaq Lodge you can book guided hikes, boat trips, meet local residents and experience their culture, or go on a real adventure that takes you all the way to the enormous ice cap. In the historic buildings you will also find Restaurant Egede, where you can enjoy a good dinner.

We care about our surroundings – for example, all cabins have solar panels, the luggage transport is electric, locally employed as much as possible, leftover food is donated to local hunters' sled dogs, and locally produced souvenirs are sold from the reception. In other words, we do everything we can to support positive development in Ilimanaq.
